Senior Traffic Engineer

Collaborate with some of the top transportation experts in the industry, participate in production of traffic design, perform traffic studies, and develop and prepare project deliverables that improve the efficiency and safety of transportation systems.

B&N Senior Traffic Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and oversee the day-to-day production of traffic design (signing and pavement markings, signal, lighting and ITS) projects
  • Work collaboratively with project and design team to develop and prepare project deliverables to meet project objectives and schedule
  • Prepare and review cost estimates for traffic related components on assigned projects
  • Work with a team of design engineers on projects across Ohio and the country
  • Engage with the transportation industry to identify marketing opportunities and build strategic business development relationships

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) required, PTOE preferred
  • 10+ years of related civil engineering experience
  • ODOT or local Ohio experience preferred
  • Project management experience desired
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microstation and/or CAD is required
  • Self-motivated and adaptable
