Collaborate with B&N’s national traffic safety team on safety analysis projects across the country influencing and leading the implementation of solutions to safely move the traveling public with consideration to all types of traffic – vehicular, cyclist and pedestrian.

B&N Traffic Safety Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Perform and review safety analyses, developing state, section and regional safety plans and site-specific studies
  • Perform systemic safety analysis and network screening
  • Assist with marketing and business development to assist in growing our National Traffic Safety Team
  • Develop or sharpen your project management and leadership skills alongside industry experts across the country

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering is required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration
  • 5 - 15 years of related transportation and traffic safety analysis experience
  • Proficiency with Highway Safety Manual, Interactive Highway Safety Design Model (IHSDM) software, ISATe and Microsoft Office required
  • Experience with Synchro and other HCM and simulation software is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal & written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
