Collaborate with some of the top bridge inspection experts in the industry to conduct thorough inspection, assessment and documentation of bridge structures ensuring safety for the traveling public user.

 B&N Certified Bridge Inspector Responsibilities:

  • Review bridge inspection reports, using tablet-based field note collection and processing applications to streamline field work and report writing
  • Opportunity to mentor and train less experienced staff members
  •  Plan and lead routine and complex bridge inspection projects


Skills & Qualifications

  • 25+ years’ experience as a bridge inspector, prior bridge construction, inspection, design, and/or load rating experience required
  • Required certifications: NHI 2-week Bridge Inspection certification and NHI FC/NSTM bridge inspection certification, preferred qualification: ANSI A92.22 Under bridge inspection truck operator certification
  • Maintain quality control of the work product and successfully complete projects on time and within budget
  • Comfortable working at heights and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. of gear
  • The ability to work outside 80% of the time, physical ability to move in and around bridge structures with live traffic within close proximity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with AASHTOWare BrM and/or AssetWise
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving history
  • Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
  • High School Diploma or GED
