B&N Sr. Roadway Designer Responsibilities:

• Actively lead and/or participate in the preliminary engineering and design production of roadway and transportation engineering projects for public agencies including departments of transportation, counties, authorities and municipalities
  
• Be a regional resource for B&N’s Southwest transportation team delivering projects primarily in Texas and Arizona, with opportunities to collaborate with other geographies
  
• Utilize Bentley (MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer) and Autodesk (AutoCAD and Civil3D) design and production tools
  
• Create an exemplary client experience throughout the project delivery
• Develop roadway, bicycle, and pedestrian design layouts, models, plan sheets, cost estimates and exhibits
• Maintain quality control of the work products and successfully complete projects on time and within budget 
• Opportunity to provide training, coaching, and mentoring for developing staff
  
  

Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma Required, Formal education/certification in Civil Design/Drafting preferred
• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering design and production software (MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD and Civil3D)
  
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment 
  
• Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving client, project, and industry needs
