Come work with senior-level professionals at an established A/E firm that values employee input and collaboration. Burgess & Niple is looking for a Project Manager Roadway Engineer. This position can be filled in Austin North, Austin South, or San Antonio.

B&N Project Manager Roadway Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Manage roadway projects and/or lead roadway design tasks including all coordination of ancillary design services for small to large projects with TxDOT and other local public agencies
  • Lead preparation of Statement of Qualifications and Work Authorization fee proposals
  • Deliver shortlist technical interviews and presentations
  • Lead and participate in project delivery to create an exemplary client experience
  • Coordinate with B&N project teams both internally and externally
  • Monitor performance indicators, budgets, schedules, and manage risk
  • Maintain quality control of the work product and effectively coach staff to successfully complete projects on time and within budget

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program 
  • Texas PE registration
  • Minimum 10 years of related roadway design experience, including experience with TxDOT highway design work
  • Certified in TxDOT Roadway Design Work Categories
  • Excellent communication skills and technical writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MicroStation and Geopak required
  • Experience with OpenRoads Designer (ORD) a plus
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
