Ready to make an impact on your career, client projects and the community? Burgess & Niple is currently seeking a Roadway Designer to join our North Austin, Texas office.

What you can expect as the major duties and responsibilities:

  • Supported and mentored by a team of technical experts and project managers
  • Provide drafting/design and detailing on a variety transportation design projects for clients throughout Texas including the Texas Department of Transportation, Regional Mobility Authorities and Tolling Authorities, Municipal Planning Organizations, Councils of Governments and cities and counties throughout the state
  • Manage and coordinate project drawings using Microstation, Geopak, and OpenRoads software
  • As part of the project team, you will complete design tasks and produce high quality plans, specifications, and estimate (PS&E) deliverables to create an exemplary client experience
  • Collaborate with engineering staff on technical challenges while adhering to task performance indicators, budgets, and schedules

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4 to 10 years of progressive technical experience in CAD and PS&E plan development for transportation engineering design projects
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microstation and Geopak or equivalent CAD software
