Burgess & Niple is seeking a Construction and Inspection Engineer to join our Austin office. This civil engineer will work with some of the top Professional Engineers in the industry to build a successful and growing engineering practice in South Austin. 

B&N Construction and Inspection Engineer Responsibilities

  • Be part of a delivery team for delivery of projects related to water/wastewater, land planning, site design, feasibility/cost opinions and final civil construction plan design
  • Collaborate with Professional Engineers and design staff
  • Create bid/contract documents
  • Interact with clients, governing agencies, and the public
  • Occasional construction administration duties and field and in the office

You may be a good fit if you have these skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited civil engineering degree program, EIT certification required
  • In lieu of civil engineering degree, will allow Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management
  • Experience in construction management/inspection of water/wastewater projects and/or land development for residential, commercial, retail, and industrial type projects a plus but not required
  • Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
