We are looking for a motivated Senior Project Manager – Transportation. Come collaborate with some of the top transportation professionals in the industry. The position will be in Atlanta as we grow our office presence across the state.

 

B&N Senior Transportation Planner Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Business Development Leader, Project Manager or Task Leader for Transportation, Transit, and Land Use Planning projects and pursuits.
  • As a Business Development Leader, develop and maintain client relationships, define and pursue opportunities in planning and within other disciplines served by B&N.
  • Assist in the development of transportation planning project proposals and presentations to secure work. 
  • As a Project Manager and Task Leader, monitor project team performance, schedules, and budget and maintain excellent working relationships with clients.
  • Coordinate with clients and internal/external project teams to identify issues, develop and analyze concepts, recommend solutions, prepare reports and other communication materials, and engage with the public.
  • Participate in delivering professional services related to all aspects of transportation and land use planning to a wide variety of clients including state Departments of Transportation (DOTs), Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), public transit authorities, and local governments.
  • Ability to evaluate the impacts of transportation infrastructure on land use, environmental sustainability, and community development.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Completion of a master's degree in urban/regional planning or similar
  • 15+ years of experience in transportation planning, transit planning, safety planning or other planning or engineering studies or analysis
  • Certification by American Institute of Certified Planners 
  • Proven verbal, presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of ArcGIS applications
  • Experience with public sector planning and policy development is highly desirable.
