Come work with senior-level professionals at an established A/E firm that values employee input and collaboration. Burgess & Niple is looking for a Transportation Engineer to join our team in Painesville, OH or Akron, OH.

B&N Transportation Engineer Responsibilities:

  • You’ll have the opportunity to be part of a project team, collaborating and learning from experienced civil Professional Engineers
  • You’ll work on design of roadway improvements on local and state transportation projects
  • You’ll be involved in plan preparation, geometric design, pavement rehabilitation, drainage design, utility design, traffic control design, and maintenance of traffic design
  • You’ll get the opportunity to make an impact right away. As an organization, we reward innovation and are always looking for new perspectives

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
  • PE registration is required
  • 5-15 years of related civil transportation experience.
  • Good communication skills, organization skills, team player, and detail oriented.
  • Software experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD & Civil 3D, Microstation & Geopak/OpenRoads
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
