Burgess & Niple Acquires Skees Engineering, Inc.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Engineering and architectural firm, Burgess & Niple, Inc., headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, has acquired Skees Engineering, Inc.

Established in 1986, Skees Engineering, Inc. provides civil engineering services to Midwest regional clients. Skees founder, Janet Skees, PE, and 11 employees join Burgess & Niple effective January 2, 2007. Skees Engineering will now operate as the Louisville, KY district office of Burgess & Niple. Address for the office will remain 400 Blankenbaker Parkway, Suite 300, Louisville, KY, 40243.

This strategic acquisition provides Skees’ clients and staff with greater resources while expanding transportation, utility infrastructure, and surveying services throughout the Midwest region.

Burgess & Niple, Inc. (B&N) was established in 1912 in Columbus, Ohio. A full-service engineering and architecture firm, B&N operates 16 offices in eight states. B&N currently ranks 115th in Engineering News-Record’s list of the top design firms in the United States based on 2005 billings.
