Schultz Elected Chairman and CEO of Burgess & Niple, Inc.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Burgess & Niple, Inc. (B&N) has named its first new Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer in nearly two decades.

Ronald R. Schultz, PE, PS, was elected Chairman and CEO by the firm’s shareholders on July 11, 2003. Schultz succeeds Francis C. Smith, PE, who stepped down after serving19 years in this role. Smith plans to continue with B&N as Chairman Emeritus and Director of Marketing until his retirement later this year.

Schultz joined B&N in 1976 and most recently served as Director of the Allegheny Region. He was named a shareholder of the firm in 1996 and has served on the firm’s Board of Directors for four years.

A registered Professional Engineer (PE) and Professional Surveyor (PS), Schultz earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University.
