B&N Elects New Owners and Associates

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Burgess & Niple, Inc. recently announced the election of three owners and six associates to the firm effective January 1, 2006.

Owners


Bob Draper, AIA, serves as Director of Military Programs providing senior leadership, program management and QA/QC services to military clients. Since he joined the firm in 1982, Draper has completed project work for all branches of the armed services. His experience ranges from master planning, programming and schematics through design, bidding and construction services.

A registered architect, Draper earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kentucky.

Rodney Holbert, PE, PS, joined the firm in 1985 and currently serves as Director of the Parkersburg, West Virginia, office. His experience includes bridge design and inspection, route studies, roadway design, utility relocation, storm sewer evaluations, water distribution, site development and flood insurance studies.

A registered professional engineer and registered professional surveyor, Holbert earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from West Virginia Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from West Virginia University.

Arthur L. Woods, PE, joined the firm in 1980 and currently serves as Director of the firm’s Dulles office, located in Chantilly, Virginia, where he is responsible for managing contractual, marketing, operational and project-related activities. He also oversees projects involving general civil, transportation, structural, environmental and geotechnical engineering, along with planning and construction management work.

A registered professional engineer, Woods earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech.

Associates


Ken Cristofani serves as Director of Federal Business Development. His marketing leadership has helped extend Burgess & Niple services to the federal sector. He joined the firm in 1999 and has more than 25 years of experience in urban, regional and state planning, program management and marketing.

Cristofani earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economic Geography from the University of California and a Master of Science in City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University.

Ronald B. Dickerson, PE, is a leader in the firm’s Utility Infrastructure division. He joined the firm in 1972 and currently serves as a project manager in the water and wastewater design section in the Columbus office. His experience includes planning report preparation; managing design teams to develop detailed plans and specifications for water and wastewater treatment facilities; value engineering; utility evaluation; and construction services.

A registered professional engineer, Dickerson earned a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University.

Craig Galant, PE, joined the firm in 1987 and serves as a senior structural engineer and project manager in the Columbus office. His experience includes concrete, steel, timber, light gage steel framing and masonry design for such structures as educational institutions, municipal and governmental facilities, parking garages, steamline transmission systems, office buildings and industrial facilities.

A registered professional engineer, Galant earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.

Scott Perfater, PE, joined the firm in 1995 and is Director of the Charleston, West Virginia, office. His expertise includes roadway, waterline, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and site development design. Additional experience includes right-of-way plans, water storage tank and bridge condition evaluations, and construction supervision.

A registered professional engineer, Perfater earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Business Administration from Marshall University.

Ken Sponaugle, PE, joined the firm in 1999 and currently serves as Director of Architecture and Engineering Design in the firm’s Cincinnati office. Sponaugle joined the firm in 1999 and his experience includes both project management and project engineering. He has played an integral part in the development of the military program at B&N. He has prepared feasibility and inspection reports and detailed design drawings and specifications for a variety of projects.

A registered professional engineer, Sponaugle earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.

Edwin Williams, AIA, joined the firm in 2004 and has 28 years of highly diversified experience in architectural design, project management, construction administration, and program and construction management on new construction and building renovation projects.

A registered architect, Edwin earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University and Master of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University.
