Due to exponential growth in the area, B&N provided planning services for a Small Area Transportation Study (SATS) for the Maricopa County Department of Transportation. This study was conducted in the east valley to understand traffic forecasting against actual upcoming demand in the area. Based on the results of is analysis, practical recommendations for the future roadways were provided based on future travel demand patterns, opportunities, and constraints identified.
B&N worked alongside the local community and governments to determine the best solutions for all parties involved. The forecasting was reviewed and updated to reflect the local government's outlooks. This study ultimately provided an understanding of the expected growth in the area and an actionable plan for each local community based on public and governmental feedback.
