Attendees will understand the essential components of managing professional consultants, from project scoping to final delivery. This presentation will teach attendees the guidelines governing qualification-based selection procedures. It will also teach them how to:

  • Implement formal procedures for purchasing professional services, maintenance contracts and consultant agreements
  • Develop structured reporting and tracking systems to routinely evaluate contractor and service performance
  • Evaluate and determine the most suitable procurement methods (e.g., RFP vs. RFB) for specific contract types
  • Draft comprehensive project scopes, detailed technical specifications and clear deliverable definitions
