This presentation will discuss of the benefits of wetlands and how reconstructed wetlands are effectively being used for habitat restoration, water quality improvement (wastewater treatment), flood reduction and public recreation. Additionally, attendees will learn from the provided case studies of wetlands designed to meet each of these needs and how the purpose of the wetland reconstruction impacts the design criteria and details that are utilized in the restoration efforts.
