We are expanding our team in the Pacific Northwest, and are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is eager to take their career to the next level. We are seeking a Transportation Engineer to join our team in Portland, OR. This position provides an excellent growth opportunity for the right candidate to step into leading exciting and technically challenging projects, as well as business development, and other business objectives.

B&N Transportation Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Support/lead portions of preliminary engineering and final design tasks from preliminary design through final PS&E documents
  • Manage projects with support from senior leaders as needed
  • Opportunity to mentor junior level staff
  • Support the business development with support from senior leadership and contribute to the development of a newly established team in Oregon
  • Aid in the scope and fee development of new projects

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • EI or EIT registration and able to test and obtain the Oregon PE within a year from hire
  • 4+ year of related transportation design and delivery experience, knowledge of Oregon Department of Transportation standards and design practices a plus
  • Previous Project Management experience desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, MicroStation and/or AutoCAD. Experience with related design programs such as Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads, AutoTurn, SignCadd, Infraworks, and/or Concept Station is beneficial
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
