Collaborate with some of the top bridge design professionals in the industry as a Part-time Senior Bridge Engineer in Boise, ID. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual to assist in our growth in transportation engineering in Idaho.

B&N Senior Bridge Engineer Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and coordinate with engineering staff in developing and delivering projects
  • Contribute to bridge design project delivery to create an exemplary client experience to a wide variety of clients including the Idaho Department of Transportation and cities & counties throughout the state
  • Collaborate on project pursuits and technical challenges
  • Perform design and/or checking of bridge details and calculations and in-depth technical review on bridge projects on an as needed basis

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program, Master’s degree a plus
  • P.E. License in the state of Idaho
  • 20+ years of related bridge design experience is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • Experience with MicroStation and bridge design software required
  • Experience in commonly used design and analysis software for IDT projects
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
