What you can expect as the major duties and responsibilities:

  • You will have the opportunity to be part of a project team, collaborating and learning from experienced bridge design engineers
  • You will work on bridge design and rehabilitation projects for local and state transportation clients
  • You will be involved in bridge analysis, bridge design, and bridge construction plan preparation

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited engineering program. Master's degree a plus
  • Related bridge design and/or internship/co-op experience a plus
  • Engineer Intern registration in the state of Idaho or ability to obtain within 6 months of applying
  • Good communication, written, and organization skills, team player, and detail oriented
  • Software experience with Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD or Microstation a plus
  • Bridge design software experience preferred, familiarity with FEM software a plus
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams
