Virginia Center Apartments is a 180-unit residential development located on 13 acres, including ten apartment buildings, a clubhouse, and a maintenance building. Burgess & Niple (B&N) was responsible for planning services, land development engineering, surveying, and landscaping design for the project.

This development project presented a design engineering challenge in completing road, lots, and utility layout, because of the varying topography and the presence of wetlands within a large drainage way that bisects the property. B&N also coordinated the wetlands restoration effort that was required by the Corps of Engineers in areas disturbed by utilities construction. All designs were in compliance with Chesapeake Bay/Henrico County water quality treatment regulations.
