With more than 40 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry, Burgess & Niple (B&N) has a thorough understanding of the processes involved in surveying, mapping, obtaining right-of-way, and preparing construction plans for utility improvements. Since 1980, B&N has completed more than 1,500 right-of-way and design projects consisting of 2,000 individual easements and permits, and more than 150 miles of conduit. These projects ranged from small local sites involving one or two easements or permits to long distance routes covering several miles, a hundred or more property owners, and multiple permitting agencies.
B&N has also developed more than 1,200 cellular or PCS antenna sites including new sites. B&N has provided turnkey civil/site and surveying services in development of these sites.
B&N’s surveying services included boundary surveys, property line surveys and descriptions, establishing control points, and the preparation of site plans reflecting the location of facilities and the identified parcel. B&N also conducted local deed and property records research, interpretations of past metes and bounds surveys, preparation of legal descriptions for easements/lease hold/transfer documents, and the recording of final survey maps and descriptions.
