Scioto Trail Greenway Alignment Study and Construction Plans

Burgess and Niple (B&N) was selected to perform a bikeway alignment study along the 3.5 mile segment of the Scioto River from Grandview Avenue to Trabue Road. The study included development of detailed base mapping for a specified area of the corridor, analysis of alignment alternatives, determination and field identification of a preferred alignment, preliminary designation of current property ownership and evaluation of the need for additional easements, and an estimate of the probable costs associated with final plan preparation and construction of the bikeway.

B&N also examined the corridor for potential environmental concerns and was retained to conduct additional environmental analyses on as needed basis. The study was completed and B&N was selected to prepare detailed construction plans for Phase 1, the southerly 1.4-mile segment of the trail. The remaining 2.1 miles of the greenway is being evaluated for construction.
