Kaiser Aluminum Fabricated Products
B&N prepared plans and completed a Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study (RI/FS) at the Kaiser Aluminum Fabricated Products facility in Heath, Ohio.
The Kaiser facility was used to manufacture rolled and extruded aluminum products. Waste material was historically impounded in an on-site, pre-regulation landfill. Additionally, numerous releases occurred from various operations in several areas of the site.
Working under consent orders from the Ohio EPA, the B&N team prepared a pre-investigation evaluation including descriptions of current and historical site operations, documented releases, and evaluation of potential remedial technologies. B&N also led the preparation of work plans, data collection and management, and quality assurance.
The RI/FS included:
The ongoing investigation has assessed primary impacted areas, identified potential source areas, and delineated the nature and extent of impacts.
B&N continues to assist Kaiser with the completion of a human health risk assessment, a Level II Ecological Risk Assessment (ERA), and submittal of the Remedial Investigation Report and Feasibility Study.
