Burgess & Niple (B&N) provides National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation for submission to the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) by cellular communication companies including AT&T Mobility, Cingular Wireless, Crown Communication, Divine, and Nextel Partners.
The FCC NEPA assessment evaluates the potential for adverse environmental and cultural effects related to site development. Potential impacts on surface water, forests, wetlands, 100-year floodplain, Threatened and Endangered (T&E) species and habitat, wilderness areas, wildlife preserves, Indian tribal religious or ceremonial sites, and historic properties are assessed.
When initial NEPA documentation indicates that the proposed actions may have a significant environmental effect, B&N is prepared to provide an Environmental Assessment (EA) explaining consequences of the action and addressing mitigation alternatives. EAs addressing floodplain, wetland, and T&E issues have been submitted with sufficient analysis provided for the FCC to process the site.
B&N also provides consultation on the applicability and requirements of new legislation on collocation sites.
