In Fairfax County, Virginia, B&N designed a 100-acre master site plan with sustainable features that helped a new office building (Commonwealth II) attain LEED® Platinum Certification, the highest possible rating from the U.S. Green Building Council.
B&N provided surveying, site civil engineering, geotechnical engineering and environmental services for the entire Commonwealth Centre at Westfields commercial development.

The master plan B&N created for the Commonwealth Centre at Westfields benefits the entire campus – future projects in this multi-building setting can share credits (provided by the site plan) earned toward LEED certification. As the development continues to grow, so will the rewards of the sustainable design.
In 2011, the Commonwealth II Building was certified a LEED Platinum building by the U.S. Green Building Council.
