COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Central Ohio Section of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) is the latest organization to recognize the outstanding engineering and design achievements Burgess & Niple (B&N) delivered on the Rich Street Bridge project in Columbus, Ohio.
B&N recently was presented with the ASHE Central Ohio Outstanding Highway Project 2012 Award for a project exceeding $3 million in construction costs. The project also received the Peer’s Choice Award, which was determined by meeting attendees who selected their favorite project from the nine projects presented.
With the receipt of these two awards, the Rich Street Bridge has been presented with five awards since its completion in 2012.
The project also received a National Recognition Award in the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) 2013 Engineering Excellence Awards competition, an Outstanding Achievement Award in the 2013 ACEC Ohio Engineering Excellence Awards competition and the 2012 James B. Recchie Design & Preservation Award by the Columbus Landmarks Foundation.
