COLUMBUS, Ohio – Engineering and architecture firm Burgess & Niple, Inc. (B&N) has acquired Foster & Miller, P.C. (F&M), an engineering and surveying firm located in Richmond, Virginia.
Founded in 1948, the F&M staff of 27 employees includes engineers, land planners, wetland specialists, land surveyors and computer technicians. Effective January 2, 2008, F&M’s President, Alvin Mistr, became Director and Vice President of B&N’s existing Richmond office and the 27-person staff became a part of B&N.
Operations of the two companies will be merged within the next few months. Former F&M staff members will temporarily work from their office located at 1670 Mountain Road, Glen Allen, VA, until a space that will accommodate all B&N Richmond employees is completed.
